Speak & Spark Events
These free events are usually a breakfast or luncheon meetings and bring together CTM sponsors, USC faculty, and topical experts for an in-depth discussion around an issue of concern to the networked digital industry. The purpose of the events is to uncover critical issues and spark ideas for future inquiry. For industry participants, it provides an opportunity to air concerns and provide "wish lists" around the topic ? while listening to a variety of points of view from nationally-recognized experts. For faculty, it provides an opportunity to hear the concerns of industry and spark new ways of thinking about the topical area. A moderator introduces the overall session topic and then leads a discussion around the room during which each attendee is asked to give their perspective on the topic. (We therefore ask attendees to prepare a 3-minute statement on at least one of the questions listed in the event invitation before the meeting.) Luncheon events usually start at 11:30 a.m. and continue to 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. (Arrival at 11:15 a.m. is recommended to ensure a good seat.)
