Technology Development and E-Business

At the Marshall School, we do not believe that technology development and ebusiness are specialized disciplines within business. Rather, they are fundamental to all business operations and are necessary tools for the growth and survival of the business enterprise. The development of innovative products, services, and business practices is at the heart of value creation in today's new economy. Technology development and ebusiness are the leading sources of growth in the world economy today. The Marshall School is located in the nexus of the most rapidly developing new technologies, including information and telecommunications technologies and bio-technologies.

The development and commercialization of new technologies and the management of technology intensive industries requires the type of general management skills that are emphasized in the Marshall School. For this reason, the Marshall School offers a concentration in technology development and ebusiness that transcends individual functional disciplines and academic departments. Faculty and courses from all functional disciplines have been brought together to offer students a thorough and balanced perspective and skill set related to technology development and ebusiness.
