Applications are invited for tenure track positions (rank open) in the Department of Finance and Business Economics. Appointments will begin Fall semester of 2014.
Applicants are sought in all areas of Finance and Economics.
Preferred qualifications for full-time positions include:
a doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in an appropriate area of study. Candidates nearing completion of their degree may also be considered. Preference may be given to individuals with relevant experience in teaching at the college/university level and/or evidence of research competence.
Applications should include a curriculum vitae, at least three letters of reference, and job market paper. Additional research papers, teaching or research statements, and/or teaching evaluations are welcome but not necessary.

The application consists of four pages. On the first page, you should ensure you've selected the proper position, and designate the rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full professor) for your application. The second page contains fields for your contact information. Fields marked with an asterisk are required. Take your time and check your entries - - there is no spell checker or field validation, so check your spelling and accuracy thoroughly!! The third page is OPTIONAL EEOC data collection. All of the data you typed on the second page is displayed at the top of page 3. CHECK YOUR ADDRESS INFO NOW, and go back to page 2 if you need to correct any errors! You can choose whether or not to fill in any of the EEOC items on page 3.
Page four is where you'll upload your application materials and provide names and email addresses for your letters of reference. There are upload fields for "Cover Letter", "CV", "Other", and "Curriculum". Each field permits ONE attachment only. PDF files are strongly preferred. "COVER LETTER" and "CV" are self-explanatory. Upload your Job Market Paper to "OTHER". If desired, use "CURRICULUM" to upload one combined PDF file containing optional documents (such as additional research papers, teaching or research statements, teaching evaluations, etc).
We require a minimum of three and a maximum of five names and email addresses for reference letters. An email requesting upload of your reference letter will be sent automatically to each of your references upon final submission of your application. The reference request email will be sent from the email address: "UscFacultyPositions@vivantech.com". Note: Unique email addresses are NOT required. If an administrator will be submitting your recommendation letters, please enter the FACULTY MEMBER's name into the first and last name fields, and use the administrator's email address for as many of the recommendation letters as is appropriate. If you want to be notified when recommendation letters are uploaded, CHECK THE BOX requesting notification of reference letter uploads BEFORE you click on the SUBMIT button!!
WARNING! When you click the SUBMIT button, your application is submitted to USC. There is NO secondary submission confirmation request to allow you to back out, make changes, and submit again. Be sure all of your data is correct and complete (especially the email addresses and uploaded documents) BEFORE you click on the Submit button.
After submitting your application, you will NOT be able to go back on-line to make corrections or upload additional documents to your application packet. If you need to correct, update, replace, or add to your application packet after it has been submitted, please email any additional information or materials to along with the name on your application and a detailed explanation in the body of your email message regarding what in your packet should be changed.
Candidates will automatically receive an email confirmation of receipt of their application packet immediately following submission of their materials.
