Welcome to the PhD program of the Department of Management and Organization of the Marshall School at USC.
We – the faculty, graduate students, and administrative staff of MOR – are excited about what we do and are happy to know that you may want to earn a PhD at USC.
Our PhD students are intellectually curious, intrinsically motivated, interested in a career in academic research, and love the process of doing research to answer important, relevant, research questions. If that describes you too, please apply to our PhD program. We are supportive of students with prior research backgrounds in disciplines fundamental to the study of management and organizations, including psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology, computer science, communication, law, engineering, and mathematics – even biology! Note: if you are interested in pursuing a non-research career in teaching or consulting, please apply for an MBA degree.
