Jade Lo

Jade Lo, a first year doctoral student in management and organization, is mainly interested in organization theory. She received her BBA in international business and first MA in journalism both from National Taiwan University, and second MA in demographics and social analysis from the University of California, Irvine.

Jade worked as an economic journalist in Taiwan for six years, covering business, financial and macro-economic news; all the first-hand observations of the real world helped to form her research interest. She is interested in the intersection of economics, sociology and management theories; more precisely, how sociological theories could be employed to explore various topics within and between organizations, such as agency problem, governance structure, strategic alliances, and prosperity as well as death of firms.
