Government Clean Energy Policies and Incentives

Discuss in detail key renewable energy policies, incentives and initiatives, including renewable portfolio standards, incentives offered in California and newly provided incentives and programs from the Obama administration. Discuss key federal and state renewable energy tax policies, incentives and credits, including the IRS Production Tax Credit (PTC) and Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and state credits and exemptions.

Utilities Ownership and Participation in Renewable Energy Projects

Overview of utility’s involvement and interest in owning and purchasing power from renewable energy facilities. Review and discuss requests for proposals (RFPs) issued by utilities (including LADWP, SDG&E and So. Cal Edison), and discuss process and issues relating to related power purchase agreements. Discuss renewable energy credits and green attributes and the marketing and sale of such items.
